Here's what to expect from an Akrapovic exhaust: 1.) lighter weight (always a good thing), 2.) more sporty looks (nice), 3.) no-hassle fit and finish (relief!), and 4.) a warm, throaty sound that you'll probably find more pleasing than the standard pipe (and just a smidge louder too). The sound alone, in fact, may convince you that you're going faster than you did before. While we certainly wouldn't want to take away from the pleasure of your experience, we think you should know that achieving a substantial increase in a motorcycle's horsepower is tricky business. Lots of factors play into it. And while a good performance exhaust such as this one is definitely part of the winning mix, it's not likely, by itself, to put you on the podium any faster.
