It comes with its own lightweight aluminum supporting platform that makes mounting and removing the tank bag a snap, literally. The platform easily attaches to the bike and is meant to remain on the bike, though removing it if desired would also be quite simple and, since no modifications to the motorcycle are required, no signs of its use would be visible when the platform is not in place. The bag’s small size not only complements a sport biker’s needs, it assures that it won’t interfere with an aggressive riding posture.

The bag’s material is sturdy and highly water repellent and uses a two-way, self-sealing zipper. There is an inner waterproof closeable bag built in to further keep contents dry. The clear top of the tank bag can be used as a map pocket. Also there is a recessed space in the lid designed to hold cell phone, GPS, MP3 player, radar detector or similar device. For safety, a reflective panel around the sides and back boosts night time conspicuity.
