This R1200 GS Adventure is powered by the 1,170cc oil/air-cooled Boxer Twin motor for which BMW is justifiably famous. It was issued as a Special Model in 2013 and came finished with the handsome Triple Black paint and trim package. It also featured the Control Operator Concept suite of Factory Options which includes:

This GS Adventure got lavish treatment in our Service Department. Anything it may have needed to restore its youthful performance, mechanical integrity and safety compliance was done by our pro techs. Highlights of that maintenance include an Inspection I/6K Service in which all its vital fluids and filters were changed, adjustment and re-torque of the timing chain tensioner, replacing cylinder head seals and gaskets, replacing the rear brake rotor and pads, and installing NEW TIRES (Metzeler Tourance, front & rear). Additionally, we filled the tires with nitrogen to maximize their performance and long-term wear. As always, we finished off the service preparation with an extended test ride and Maryland Safety Inspection. This machine is absolutely GOOD-to-GO.

Does 40,000-some miles on a motorcycle seem like a lot? Perhaps with some bikes that number of miles would give you cause for concern.
