This chain fits all 1970 through 1978 Airhead Twins EXCEPT R65. The stock BMW timing chain is manufactured as a continuous loop which means that to change it you have a lot of extra work to do, including pulling the camshaft! This high-quality, chain is not continuous. It uses a master link to close the loop so you don't need to disassemble your motor to install it.
