This seat cover is modern reproduction of the 1974 R90S cover.
NOTE: this cover ALSO fits all 1975-'84 S/CS/RS/RT models where the seat is surrounded by a painted metal cowl. Though the embossing pattern of this cover is unique to the 1974 model, it is interchangeable, fit-wise, with all other seats of this type.
BMW does not now, nor have they ever offered replacement seat covers for models prior to 1985. We are sure that this cover, sourced in Germany, is from the same company that originally manufactured seats for BMW. The vinyl cover material has the same grain texture as the original did. The embossed rib pattern has been updated and is not fully stitched. Properly installed, this cover can make your bike look 30 years younger!
