The Leakproof Oil Filler Cap by Moto Techniques fits the following models:
R850R | R1100 (all) | R1150 (all) | R1200C and CL
This filler cap replaces the stock plastic cap. It is machined to exacting tolerances from billet aluminum and anodized with a clear finish. This kit also includes a replacement metal filler neck insert which is nickel plated brass and secured in the bike by trapped set screws. Both the insert and the plug are sealed by O-rings. Installation is simple but requires removal of valve cover.
Instead of the stock design where you twist-on and off with fingers, this cap requires the use of an Allen style key wrench which discourages unwanted tampering. This easy-to-use tool for opening and tightening the cap is included. The tool can be attached to a key ring for convenience.
Kit is complete with insert, plug, Viton O-rings, set screws, allen wrench, stainless steel key chain mini-wrench for plug removal, dust cap and instructions.
