The Desmo450 MX Factory is pure competition. This bike was born ready, with even more high-performance suspension, an Akrapovic racing exhaust, sophisticated electronics, and desmodromic timing. Lighter, faster, and with everything a rider needs to take to the start gate. For the U.S. market, each Desmo450 MX Factory will be delivered with a custom, personalized Factory bike stand and a numbered engine cover individually marked with its production number, as this model year will be a limited run of 400 units.
Devloped on the racetrack, in line with Ducati philosophy. The Desmo450 MX Factory is born from a desire to expand and engage new fans. Conceived in 2021, it fully embodies the Ducati development philosophy of testing and honing on the racetrack solutions that are then transferred to the production bikes.

ENGINE | Desmo450: the heart of innovation
Designed around the engine, the Desmo450 MX Factory mounts the first single-cylinder four-stroke with desmodromic timing in the history of motocross. Thanks to the full Akrapovic exhaust, it offers a broader torque curve and 63.5 hp of power at 9,400 rpm.

Designed by the Centro Stile, the Desmo450 MX Factory stands out for its flowing, clean and taut lines, which ensure that unmistakable Ducati signature. Promising grip, responsiveness and speed, the design is pure function.
- "Ducati Corse" LIVERY — The Desmo450 MX Factory stands out for its special 2025 Ducati Corse livery, directly inspired by the factory bikes used in the MXGP World Championship. Every detail of the graphics recalls the Ducati racing tradition, immediately transmitting the bike’s racing DNA. The color scheme and design of the graphics highlight the aggressive, modern lines of the Desmo450 MX Factory and ensure the bike is immediately recognizable on track and in the paddock.
- FRAME — Compact, resistant, ready for the challenge. With a frame comprised of just 11 elements, with limited weld joints and a weight of just 20 lbs. (8.96 kg), the Desmo450 MX Factory vehicle is designed to ensure minimal bulk and maximum resistance in every situation.

KEY CHARCATERISTICS:
- Showa suspension with Dark Kashima and TiO coating — The Desmo450 MX Factory adopts lightweight, high-performance Showa suspension, designed to ensure race-level reliability and efficiency. At the front is a 49 mm fork, adjustable in compression and rebound, complete with Dark Kashima coating for performance closer to that of the factory bikes. At the rear, a shock with progressive linkage, adjustable in compression. The fork and shock stanchions are TiO coated, increasing surface hardness by 60% and reducing friction by 10%, while also heightening the resistance to chips and abrasions caused by sand and debris.
- Akrapovic full titanium exhaust — Full titanium and allows for a weight saving of 3.7 lbs. (1.7 kg), helping to limit the bike’s overall weight to just 229 lbs. (104 kg). In combination with dedicated engine mapping, this gives the engine a broader torque curve and greater top-end performance.
- Steering plates in billet Ergal — The Desmo450 MX Factory flaunts extremely high-quality components, including billet Ergal steering plates that offer greater stiffness and ensure a weight reduction of roughly half a pound (200 grams).
- Race components — The Desmo450 MX Factory integrates components developed for racing, such as the Holeshot device that guarantees greater stability and increased acceleration. Its equipment is rounded out with a disc protector and engine guard plate, designed to protect the braking system and engine from mud, stones and debris during off-road riding.
- Ducati Com-Link Wi-Fi module — This allows the rider to use the Ducati X-Link app to customize their Desmo450 MX Factory and monitor it in a fast and intuitive way. The rider can use the app to configure the two riding modes, adjusting throttle response, engine brake, Ducati traction control, and launch control. Ducati X-Link also acquires data such as engine speed, throttle position, atmospheric temperature, and pressure, as well as providing suggestions for the best suspension setup based on a rider’s weight and experience level and the type of terrain.
- Strong, lightweight aluminum frame —The Desmo450 MX Factory flaunts a lightweight aluminum frame that comprises just 11 elements, minimizing the number of weld joints. The result is a frame that weighs just 19.75 lbs. (8.96 kg), achieved by combining cast, forged, and extruded components with the utmost Ducati engineering precision.
- High-performance Desmo450 single-cylinder engine — The entire bike is designed around its beating heart: a 450 single-cylinder engine with desmodromic timing, which boasts maximum power of 63.5 hp at 9,400 rpm and maximum torque of 39.5 lb-ft @ 7,500 rpm. The rev limiter is set at 11,900 rpm, with such high engine speeds allowing for less gear shifting. This means the rider can get away quicker and increase their chance of a holeshot.
- Brembo/Galfer braking system — The Desmo450 MX Factory is equipped with a high-quality braking system, its calipers and master cylinder supplied by historic Ducati partner, Brembo. At the front is a two-piston floating caliper, while the rear comprises a single-piston floating caliper to ensure power and modulability in every situation. Galfer discs, 260 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear, ensure precise braking and contribute to improving the overall handling.
