Today, in honor of Veterans Day, Bob’s pays special tribute to our friend, customer, Ducatista, and future veteran Johan Aybar. Johan has been a United States Navy sailor for 9 years and counting. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Johan was raised in New York where he also enlisted in the Navy. During Johan’s service to our country he has served on 3 archipelagos, 3 continents, 1 deployment, and over 2,000 days of sea time.
Unlike many who enlist soon after high school, Johan had an established career outside of the military before joining the Navy, but his desire to be of service ultimately landed him in the Navy.
Johan is also a father who enjoys motorcycling, contact sports, and blogging. He owns a Panigale V4S and a Harley Panamerica and was introduced to Bob’s just this past summer after moving to Ft. Meade. Johan has lived in multiple states and has goals to join the Iron Butt Association of riders to explore all the states by motorcycle(s).
He shared with us that he did extensive vetting of where he would be going to get his M1000R serviced (which he sold to Bob’s in trade for his Panigale!) and, due to our social media and online reviews, he chose Bob’s to be his local dealer. He also shared with us that every time he drops by Bob’s it feels like family, which is exactly the experience Bob’s strives to provide to all riders!
