Meet The Team Mondays: Bob Henig

We wouldn’t be posting this if it weren’t for Bob! He is the founder and owner of Bob’s Motorcycles, formerly Bob’s BMW. Bob established Bob’s Used Parts in 1981 and made his stake in the riding community selling used BMW motorcycles parts out of his garage and at rallies across the country. With his entrepreneurial spirit in full gear, he was soon after approached by BMW Motorrad to become an authorized dealer and the rest is history!

For decades Bob has led the team serving the BMW community worldwide, sharing his passion and growing the community one motorcycle at a time. But he didn’t stop there! In 2023 Bob’s BMW changed its name to Bob’s Motorcycles and welcomed the Ducati brand and Ducatistas to the family, and became an authorized Ducati dealer.

Bob is a successful and respected businessman, a passionate and enthusiastic rider of everything on 2 (or 3!) wheels! He is a collector with over 100 historic and iconic BMW motorcycles on display at his Vintage BMW Motorcycle Museum (Jessup, MD) where BMW Motorrad history is showcased through artwork, and artifacts, parts, apparel, and more historic memorabilia dating back to 1923 when the brand was established.

He is a family man, married to the love of his life (and the co-owner of Bob’s Motorcycles) Suzanne, who share a son who followed in his entrepreneurial spirit. Sam is the proud founder/owner of Clipper City Barber Company located in Baltimore’s Fells Point. Bob is also a longtime and well-known philanthropist who has supported local and nationally renowned charitable organizations like The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Feeding America, Fisher House, our local Grassroots Crisis & Intervention Center, and UU Congregation of Columbia, just to name a few. He is a boss, a spouse, a parent, a rider, a collector, an entrepreneur, and an all around respected and productive member of society.
