Per the Governor of Maryland we must all agree to follow these guidelines in order to provide a healthy working environment while doing our best to provide our customers with an enjoyable and complete shopping experience.

• + Keep a 6’ social distance and no groups over 4 people
• + Wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose
• + Use elbows or a tissue to open doors, pour coffee, etc.
• + Thoroughly wash hands before/after touching surfaces

Bob’s is open for business by appointment so we can all manage social distancing, protect everyone’s health, and provide the best possible customer service levels.  Saturday while-you-wait services may be limited.

If you do not have an appointment, please come in and check with one of our staff immediately. We will do our best to find a team member that is available to assist you. You must be accompanied by a team member while browsing the showroom. One of our ongoing responsibilities is to keep track of what’s been touched so we can properly sanitize the dealership and contents every day for everyone’s health.

To Our Customers and Friends:

First, I hope everyone reading this is healthy and that many of you have found time for a motorcycle ride or several over the past few weeks. We’re fortunate as riders to have one of the best tools for managing stress on the planet—plus you get to practice perfect social distancing while doing so, protective gear and all!

These are challenging times for everyone. This virus and its impact on our lives, families, friends, communities, careers, and businesses will test us all in some manner. But together as a community of motorcycle riders and good humans we can ride out this storm.

While we do not get to make all the decisions regarding what we can and cannot do right now since many are handed to us by state and local officials, rest assured that all of us at Bob’s BMW will do everything we can to be here for you and your motorcycle. We are fortunate to be designated an essential business so we can continue to serve your motorcycling needs. 

Please note the following important changes to our operations:

Visiting Bob’s

In order to comply with current guidelines, all visits must be by appointment only. Please call 301-497-8949 to schedule service work on your bike (ext. 502), to select and purchase a new or used motorcycle (ext. 504) or riding gear, parts, and accessories (ext. 506).

All of us at Bob’s will do our best to make you feel as welcome as always.  A hearty thank you and big smile will have to replace the handshakes and hugs for the immediate future as we remain diligent in practicing social distancing and ask that you do the same.

You can feel safe when visiting. We clean and sanitize our facility several times a day and have done so for several weeks. Between customer appointments we sanitize ourselves, the doors, restrooms, common surfaces like the coffee counter, and even motorcycle grips and gas tanks.

Our hours have changed slightly. We still open at 9 am but will close at 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Online Orders

Keep the orders coming (thank you for your patronage)! Our 24/7 e-commerce operation continues to process orders just as quickly as ever. We are still here for you and shipping out packages!

I’d like to share a new slogan I believe all motorcyclists can use thanks to our friends at the Motorcycle Industry Council: We will “RIDE IT OUT” together. Consider including #RIDEITOUT when posting anything motorcycling related. I’m confident that both motorcyclists and our neighbors who may not ride bikes will instantly get the overall intent.

Finally, I personally and publically want to extend a BIG THANK YOU to our dedicated staff who have continued to serve the large and seemingly growing number of new and existing customers who have been calling, scheduling, and purchasing new and used motorcycles, and lots of other stuff from Bob’s these past few weeks. Thank you for your big smiles, commitment, and dedication. You give all of us great hope, strength, and confidence that we all will really RIDE IT OUT together.
