This BMW K1600 GTL was purchased new at Bob's in 2012 and has had just two owners, both of whom kept it faithfully serviced — most of the time at Bob's. The custom San Marino Blue Metallic paint is unique – it was not a stock color for this model, but a BMW color the first owner loved and chose to have applied to his new bike by Bob's own professional paint shop. Then, going further, they replaced the front upper & lower Ball Joints, rebuilt the Rear Shock, installed a NEW Battery, and mounted NEW TIRES (Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT, front & rear) and filled them with nitrogen to optimize their wear and longevity. Following all that and after an extended Road Test, we put it through Maryland State Inspection. Of course, it passed without a hiccup.

Finally, our pro detailer went to work cleaning every spec of dirt and road grime out of places most people would never even think to look, then putting on a showroom luster that draws your eye deep into the “wild blue yonder” of its paint color.

Those who are curious about the cosmetic condition will want to know more precisely what we meant earlier by, “a few nicks and dings to show for all its previous journeys.” Fair enough; you deserve to know. The bike appears to have suffered tip-overs on both sides, with scratches or scrapes visible on many of the usual, vulnerable places. Both side cases show injuries (most noticeable on the right-side) and there are a few abrasions on the outer edges of the upper and lower fairing, both sides, and a little scuff on the left-side mirror housing. Most of these blemishes can be seen clearly in the photos. But of course, you need to see the bike in person to decide how these little “badges of experience” might affect your buying decision.
